“The strength of an artist lies in knowledge. Creativity without knowledge is nothing.” (P. Chistyakov)

Who am I? My name is Isadora. I was born in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Throughout all stages of my life, I have been in contact with the world of creativity and art. I enjoyed writing small books, drawing, writing and acting in small plays, composing music, and inventing my own toys and miniature models. My interest in classical music arose in childhood, but I only had piano lessons in adolescence, when I began composing my first pieces.

In some way, I have always felt drawn to the feel of materials and the infinite manifestations of human creativity. Therefore, I decided to enrol in the Industrial Design course at the Federal Fluminense University (UFF) in 2014, where I was able to come into contact with the Bauhaus philosophy, notions of geometry, building an inclination to work with three-dimensionality. From 2018 to 2021, I enrolled in a painting restoration course at a conservation studio, where I was able to study the production processes of a painting, as well as understand the intervention processes. In 2021, I entered the undergraduate course in Conservation and Restoration at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), receiving an academic distinction for exceptional performance. My interest in the course stemmed from my passion for historical heritage, especially sculptures. Thus, my creative process incorporates the foundations of visual perception inspired by the Bauhaus, along with influences from my studies in design, in conjunction with the artistic knowledge acquired in the Conservation and Restoration course.
